Merrimack Hall Executive Staff

Debra Jenkins, Founder

Debra Jenkins, winner of the prestigious Virginia Hammill Simms Award for outstanding contribution to the arts, has been on the faculty of such institutions as the Montgomery Civic Ballet, The Birmingham Ballet Company and Huntsville Community Ballet. She has worked as a volunteer in many capacities for most of Huntsville's premiere arts organizations, including serving as Chairman of Panoply 1997. She was the first Director of Public Relations for The Arts Council, Inc. of Huntsville. Until 2012, Debra served as Merrimack Hall's volunteer Executive Director. Today, she serves as Chairman of the organization's advisory board, and continually works to grow Merrimack Hall's Johnny Stallings Arts Program.

Ashley Dinges, Executive Director

Ashley Dinges is a Huntsville transplant from San Jose, California, where she worked at the San Jose Mercury News newspaper. Previously, she worked at publications including the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News. Her design, writing and editing work has been honored by organizations including the Society for News Design and the American Advertising Federation. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, and recently completed Columbia Business School's Developing Leaders Program for Nonprofit Professionals. She is a proud graduate of Leadership Huntsville's Connect Class 14, and serves on the boards of the Downtown Forty-Seven, Causeway Huntsville, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals North Alabama Chapter. Juliana Guillen, Business Manager

Juliana Guillen just relocated to Huntsville from Denver, Colorado, where she spent six years as the Administrative Director for the Mizel Arts and Culture Center, working with the Denver Children’s Theater, the Denver Jewish Film Festival and on many other incredible projects! Niki Hogan-Ward, Marketing & Development Director

Niki Hogan-Ward has more than 22 years of experience in marketing, advertising and special events, many in the non-profit sector. Having grown up in New Mexico and Nevada, Niki has called Huntsville home for more than 25 years. She has won multiple ADDYs and other awards from the American Advertising Federation including Copywriter of the Year. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Communications from UAHuntsville. Johnny Stallings Arts Program Staff

Melissa Reynolds, JSAP Director

Melissa has a great love for the arts, which started at age two when she began dancing. She was raised in Texas and moved to Huntsville as a teen. She is a graduate of Athens State University, holding a BA in History. In addition to her role at Merrimack Hall, Melissa teaches dance locally, and choreography and many dancers have been awarded nationally. With her passion for office administration, football, dance, and the arts she is very excited to be a part of the Merrimack Team. Click here to e-mail Melissa.

Claire Lindsay, JSAP Coordinator

Claire has recently moved back to Huntsville from beautiful upstate New York where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting and Mass Communication from SUNY-Oswego. She has always enjoyed performing, but singing is what she fell in love with at a young age. Having a passion for the performing arts and a background in office administration and advertising, Claire is excited to be a part of the Merrimack team. Click here to e-mail Claire.

Hayley Henderson, Artistic Director

Hayley Smith Henderson is a Huntsville native with a love for the performing arts dating back to age three. She graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Performing Arts Degree in Dance Performance. Since graduation Hayley has been performing locally and professionally. Dance has always been Hayley’s fist love and passion; however, coming in at a very close second is Alabama football. Click here to e-mail Hayley.

Kristen Wilson, Development Associate

Kristen Wilson recently moved back to Huntsville, AL after spending almost ten years in Philadelphia. While there she danced with the world renowned modern dance company, PHILADANCO! and co-directed and co-founded a pre-professional dance company, EPHOD. With roots deep in music, singing, theater, and dancing, she also has a passion for non-profit management and grant-writing. She has served as the Development Director for both the Main Line YMCA and PHILADANCO! and was an Advanced Program Director for the Columbia North YMCA and most recently the Director of Administration for the Love Kingdom Fellowship Church in Philadelphia. She attended the University of Alabama with a theater scholarship, has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from AIU and a Certificate in Faith and Spirituality in Behavioral Health Counseling from the Community College of Philadelphia. Venue Staff

Martez Clemons, Venue Coordinator

Martez Clemons was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. He has returned to Huntsville from Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa where he studied drama and technical theatre. He has been part of many many theatre companies here in Huntsville and is an-award winning Stage Manager. Martez is excited to be of yhe Merrimack Hall Performing Arts team.
