Merrimack Hall welcomes back enigmatic cult sensation Leon Redbone, after a sold-out performance in February 2010. Though little is known about his background, his legendary live show has received critical acclaim since the 1970s. Dressed in a Panama hat, dark shades, and attire reminiscent of the early 1920s, Leon mixes jazz, blues, ragtime and comedy into one unforgettable performance.
He has appeared as a frequent guest on Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and lent his voice to the character of Leon the Snowman in the 2003 film Elf with Zooey Deschanel and Will Ferrell. He performed at actor/comedian Adam Sandler's wedding.
