The Rocket City Microthon is the most (the only?) prestigious event for the least elite non-athletes.
A family-friendly fundraising event spoofing a traditional road race. The “race” is across the 383 feet (0.12K) of the Butler Green at Campus 805 in downtown Huntsville. Put on your numbered bib (just like the real racers!) and race from Straight to Ale to Yellowhammer Brewery. Or vice-versa, we’re not all that organized.
The 2024 race is targeting 600 registered racers, but don’t worry, there’s plenty of time to train! The Microthon has an active Facebook page, and “sofa to 0.12K” training videos on Youtube. Registration information is listed below and there’s ample opportunity for your company to boast its involvement in this incredible show of human ability.
